We were called in to carry out restoration work on this mahogany floor, it had been refinished before using to rough off grit, maybe from when it was installed. They seemed to look like 24 grits then finished with an 80 grit, this is not the right sanding sequence as you should never skip more than one sanding grit as it will leave the incorrect peaks in the wood and the seal will not lay on the floor the best it can.
If you notice our first pass with 50 grit is not going with the wood grain, we do this as it gets the floor flat and dose not rip into the wood fibres to much. We didn’t want to go to rough with this floor as we didn’t want to rob the life off the floor.
After our pass with 50 grit we moved on to 80 grit going with the wood grain in the direction of the light source, 80 girt doesn’t leave deep enough scratches to cause a problem. The trio was then brought in and we started with 80 grit and finished with 120grit mesh leaving the floor smooth and scratch free.

Our client asked as “what is the strongest product you have” our only answer would ever be LOBA Supra, this is an advanced technology ceramic finish exceeding requirements of the ÖNORM highest wear class C by 50%*
You cant get more durable than this product, it is fully cured after just 24hours.
We applied our first coat of LOBA easyPrime, and it is exactly that easy. Easy prime leaves no roller marks and settled in to the floor beautifully.
Once dry we etched down the floor to create a key, hoovered and tacked the floor the started to apply LOBA supra.
